Welcome – E Komo Mai

Welcome to Kauai Chorale, the oldest community choral music organization on Kauai! We celebrate 55 years of concerts of high quality chorale music!  It’s a lot of fun, and a great opportunity for singers on Kauai to sing and audiences to hear serious – and sometimes not-so-serious choral musical works from many cultures and many ages.

Our next appearance will be May 18 and 19, 2018 when Lois Ricciardi brings to a close her 30 year career as director of Kauai Chorale, with a fascinating and exciting performance of Orff’s “Carmina Burana” at Kauai Beach Resort.  And the next week, we’ll be “taking it on the road” to perform the piece with Distinguished Concerts International New York, in Lincoln Center.

Do you love to sing?  We would love to have you join us.  You can join either at the start of our spring semester rehearsals each January, or our fall semester rehearsals in Septembers. No audition is necessary.  Any age is welcome, and we’ve had singers as young as 7 years old and well into their 80s.  Although it is helpful, music training is not a prerequisite. All we ask is that you love to sing, be able to commit to our weekly Monday night rehearsals, and pay a small semester membership fee to help defray costs of building and maintaining our library of choral literature.

Our next semester rehearsals and membership drive starts in September 2018. Stay tuned for more information, or sign up for our newsletter to the right of the website pages! Cost is only $25 per semester.

If you would like to help support the Chorale financially, we are now a part of the Amazon.com Smiles donations program.  Just click on the banner below, and at no cost to you, Kauai Chorale will receive a portion of every Amazon Smiles purchase!  Click below to get started!

Whether you sing with us, appreciate us from the concert hall, or support us in other ways, we want to welcome each of you to our concerts, and thank you from the bottoms of our hearts for all your support for 51 years!
